From early childhood I would watch the world from my windows. Later, while in college, I also worked at that shipping company which my mother and her company have founded. The logistics industry is not something I have actively followed or even thought about in many years. However, one of my longest friends, a man who has not forgotten any details about my school or college, said to me the other day, "India, and shipping in particular, has a lot of logistical issues. My company is India's largest shipping company and is based in Bombay. Though we are profitable, the logistics are not efficient. However, I do not think we can change this too soon." I was surprised to hear this. Perhaps, the delivery of certain logistics needs in India can still wait. The excitement of an initial public offering in India will now have to wait.
